Is switching between tuba and euphonium really that bad?
I played euphonium before I switched to tuba, and I never noticed any problems.
I also know many people that do switch between tuba and euphonium, and the result is that they build up an extremely good high register when they switch back to tuba...I'm not sure about the lower register.
Many professional players play multiple low brass instruments and are very good on all of them...so, again I ask...is it really that bad?
