Hello.

In my Opinion, switching back and forth between all the low brass instruments isn't much of a problem--if I do one, then wait a while and do another. Going from one to another right after each other is chaos on my lips.

One time I picked up a euphonium after having not played it for about 5 years, and played it for about an hour, and then went right back to tuba and even with a small cup diameter mouthpiece it felt like i was blowing into a bucket.

However, I've noticed that letting our euphonium players here at school play tuba for a while helps their tone, t-bone players too. I guess they get more air pressure or something.

Okay, talked too much.

Doug
