While scientific advancement do allow for an instrument which is more appealing to engineers, the true indication of an instruments worth is the product it allows the performer to express. Many instruments could be made better intune, but then the overall quality depreciates. Musical instruments must strike a fine balance with compromises.

If building the perfect instrument were simply a matter of mathematics, then Yamaha would have perfected it years ago and totally eliminate any possible competitors. As we have witnessed, the overall quality of the sound involves much more than perfect intonation.
