Well, about 4 years ago my all state band was all BBb's. For the past 3 years(and now this year), the 1st chair has been on a CC. 3 years ago, there was 1 player with a CC, 2 years ago it was me and the other guy, last year the top 3 were on CC, and now it's divided half and half BBb vs. CC. The people playing BBb's notice how good the people on CC sound, etc. and wonder what they can do to be able to compete with them. They then get to blow a few notes on the CC's and notice how much BETTER they play (yes BETTER. Flame all the hell you want to but they play BETTER).
