The Conn CC ends up with the .734" bore past the valveset because of an acoustically un-eligant bulge in the bore of the knuckle between casings #'s 3 & 4.
The King BBb's main tuning slide could easily be altered to simply be more cylindrical, as its large end is not very far away from .734
