Well, this may be old news to everyone, but I just picked up a recording of a disc called "American Journey". It features music of John Williams, and I must say it is quite a find. Much of the disc is recorded by the Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles, with tracks also recorded by the Utah and Boston Pops Orchestras.
The music, while it sounds very "Williams-esque" is still quite refreshing to hear.
Of particular note, and the reasin for the post on here, is the superb musicianship in the back row, last seat to the conductor's right, especially in "Sound the Bells!"
Bravo to Jim (my guess, though I may be incorrect)
Bottom line: if you see it, and you like Williams' non-film music, pick it up.
