On the CC and F tubas and odd BBb's, Yamaha is no longer keeping any stock on hand. They will keep 1 or 2 at the max and if it sells order another so the lead time has increased to over 6 months. On the new 842 lead time right now is over 8 months. Willson is now 6 months on 2900's.

You don't get a better price per say, just stock to sell at all.

Sousaphones and marching brass are also in this class to have a Master order in with all companies because they unde produce alot of times.

Conn can be slow at times but not always. Bach is bad on alot of their high end trombones expecially ones w thayer valves and bass trombones are worse.

So to some extent, and you look at the lead times and if you want to keep stock all year long you have to have Master orders in to have them there to sell.

If people quit buying then you are stuck with product. This happens. It is speculation what your customers will buy and when. When you have new product it is all speculation what will happen.
