whatever Joe. Everyone plays clam notes. And if you'd ever done live recording with a full sized ensemble (my suspicion is you have not) you would know a LOT of clams get caught on tape. Don't be amazed if they came out of Mr. Jacob's horn, but don't also be a dick in how you offer "criticism."
The ensemble and soloist weren't aware tape was rolling. You KNOW that.
The clams weren't edited out in that recording, you also know THAT.
there were no multiple takes to cut and paste out the (as you put it) "intonation and technical errors."
You might want to say the decision to record was Mr. Jacobs, but the decision to release a one-take recording was the label's. It sounds like you think it was a bad decision.
Leave it at that, but if you ever consider becoming a print music critic, keep your day job.
