My Weril CC from Baltimore Brass arrived yesterday. I am not going to say that it is an awesome horn or anything, but I was very pleasntly surprised at the quality of the horn for what little I paid for it.

I have never played on a CC other than just honking a few notes on a friend's CC occaisionally. What are some of the best ways to get used to CC fingerings when you have played on a BBb for 30 years? I imported some MIDI files (church hymns) into Finale and then pasted the melody into a bass clef and played the CC doing that and made some good progress the first night. My best guess for this is to play some etudes and nice melodious stuff until I am blue in the face and do this over and over until I am comfortable. I have a concert in 3 weeks that is the 80th Anniversary of the Lawrence High School and would love to be playing well for that. Three weeks should be ample time, especially when we are playing easy stuff such as Holst 1rst Suite in Eb and two easy marches.
