A teacher can be guilty of over explaining. When one says "just do it" they are not trying to make anyone feel stupid. I am not a "natural player" and the worst thing a teacher can do to help me is go into minutia about playing. When we say "just do it" we want the student to get beyond the technical aspects of play and focus on the music. Yes we do have to work on technique but we have to go beyond it. I really do recommend you read "Wind and Song" by Brian Frederiksen and "The Inner Game of Tennis" by Tim Gallway.
