Tired of "6/4", "3/4", "7/9", etc?

How 'bout taking the tuba into the swimming pool, totally filling it with water (turn it over and over underwater until all of the bubbles are out) and then pouring it all out into gallon containers, quart jars, etc.

Tubas could be measured by their total volume in gallons/quarts or liters, rather than some "judgement call" quasi stringed instruments fractional sizes...

This absolute knowledge would be extremely important to me. After all, I'm out to prove that my tuba is bigger than yours.
