Since I was weaned on a 20J, I couldn't stand the feel of the 186 because it felt stuffy. If you run into this problem, I recommend that you take a look at the 187 as well(or the 188, if you play CC.) The 187, in goldbrass especially, sounds closer to the 191, for a little less money. You will have trouble finding fault with any of Steve's recommendations. I recently did a concert where our symphonies(youth and adult) combined with about 120 people, and still managed to punch through pretty well. Miraphone offers some of the best bang-for-the-buck out there, and if you want to try a variety of them, South Bend is the place to go.
