Question? I want to use this piece next year for my High School at Texas Solo & Ensemble, probably the second movement. My question is on the 1st tuba has anyone used the Euphonium on the 1st tuba part at competition. It just that on the rehersal suggestions at the beggining of the score has written ".........It is suggested that the Tuba 1 part be played on Euphonium because of the high Tessitura. The Prescribed music list says "Payne/Quartet for Tubas(4 tubas)1 mvmnt" So can I use the euph for competition?
