The bottom line ethically is that you have to ASK the seller if it is okay before you use the tuba in any sort of situation other than simply trying the instrument out. I actually did this with my newly purchased Nirschl and they were quite accomodating. But I would NEVER use the tuba anywhere other than my home unless I asked the seller first. It is just plain wrong and dishonest. And neither should you, no matter what.
