When I first started playing tuba I used the Ed Sueta Band Method books. It teaches everything from reading music to tone production. After you finish with the Ed Sueta I say go to the Rubank Intermediate Method for BBb/Eb Bass followed by Rubank Advanced Method Books 1 then 2. By that time I think you'll know what to do
