Hello to all,
My Summer camp, USDAN Center for the Creative and Performing arts, has just informed me that they are in the market for a new, or possibly used BBb tuba. Right now we have about 6 or 7 Conn 20J's with recording bells. These tubas are huge! There are many, very little, elementary school tubists, and they simply can't play these huge old mosters. I actually kinda like the 20J's only becuase they have a huge, huge sound! Even I, 6'2" (not exactly small), have trouble holding these beasts.
Anyway, I was asked what tuba models that I would suggest them looking into. Our budget is around $2500-$3500. It also can not be a BAT. It has to be playable by the little kids. Maybe a 3/4 or small 4/4. Does anyone have any suggestions?
