I'm starting to think - due to the rhythmic difficulty of the piece and the obvious clarity of the sound of a virtuoso solo 'cellist (within the context of a string quartet) on a professionally recorded c.d., that this Kronos recording of this piece might be a "must buy" for tuba players who would like to get into the audition circuit (such as this circuit is).
What better possible model exists for a tuba player who is trying to learn this piece properly to be able to work out the counting and the execution of the rhythms?
