$200?! Good grief. But what do you mean by button? If the finger button's stem broke off in the valve stem, you can have it removed with an "easy Out" which is basically a lefthanded spiral. Actually the first step is to drill a hole for the easy out. By using a left handed drill bit, it may come out with just that. Same thing if you are talking about the valve stem broken off in the top of the piston. I use the lathe for this so I can control the depth of the drilling. Sucks when you drill on through into the valve port!

Rarely the top of the piston comes unsoldered, but that can be fixed, too. If you've mangled the valve beyond these things, it may be cheaper to start thinking about a new valve. Need beetter info to help you better.
