5th valve question, too

I have a late 70's vintage Mirafone 186 BBb with a 5th valve. I have read all the 5th valve talk and I'm still not clear on what type I have. I usually use mine as an alt fingering for a 2-3 (Gb) or as 1-2-5 (low B) and of course to reach all my pedal notes (I'm down to a pedal GGGb now and can almost make FFF speak). OK, so with that info, whadoi got?
