I used to play blackjack with a client of mine out there, and he was a two-level card counter of great enthusiasm. Problem is, he just can't be anonymous and the pit bosses would remember him. After the big burly guys at Union Station and then again at one of the neighborhood casinos invited him to try one of their other games, he learned his lesson and went back to video poker.

His standard refrain was, let's go to the Las Vegas Club and play video poker, and we'll get our crab legs for free. We'd play in that low-grade casino for about two hours, which usually cost me a couplahunnert, and then he would "sweet-talk" the pit boss into a free meal for the group. I finally had to put a stop to it, even if he was the client. I told him that I could take him to Morton's and have a really good steak and put it on my expense account, rather than getting free crab legs stale from being a zillion miles from the ocean that cost $200 in gambling losses that I had to pay myself.

Sigh. These guys just don't understand business.

That was 1994 or so. In the years since I've spent my money more wisely, heh, heh, the Holton and the York Master being but two examples.
