Hi guys! Here is my question: According to Joe S., it cost a minimum of $2000 to re-silver a Sousaphone, and I will not have the money to do such, so when choosing my Sousaphone, should I automatically eliminate any Sousaphones that look like they will need such an operation? I plan on spending no more than $1500 on a used Sousaphone, yet I am looking for either a Raincatcher or a pre-UMI era Conn K Sousaphone. How will I know if a Sousaphone really needs to be re-silvered or not? Any insights are greatly appreciated!!
