If one doesn't have the means to buy a horn, and one won't be given to him/her, is it possible to be a tuba performance major in college and have the experience and ability needed to get a professional gig? I say this because I can get a very substantial tuba scholarship but I will lose most of it if I dont major in music, and I dont think I can handle a double major. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
