I don't know. I think people who can play with no warm up, or who can't take at least 20 minutes or so for a good warm up session are for the most part amatures who make their living doing something other than play for a living. The pros I have come into contact with have been happy to share their warm up routine with me, which is often more than 20 minutes. While we all have been in situations where for whatever reason we did not have the opportunity of a formal warm up session, the fundamentals which are (or should be) a part of a daily warm-up can provide the necessary skills to sucessfully perform under less than the best of circumstances. I guess some are satisfied to play within the enveope(amatures), others want to expand their own envelope (amatures/students), and those who continue to push the envelope (current pros and students who's contributions will be studied and admired by the rest of us for years to come).
