I am considering the pyrchase of an F tuba, that would be good as a solo instrument, and perhaps a quintet instrument as well.
I am thinking that a 3/4 F horn (maybe 4/4?) with an interesting tone would be best for these requirements. It seems to me that a 6/4 F horn, such as the MW45slp, would be a bit too big to be an ideal solo instrument.
What are your thoughts? What instruments would you suggest?
