This suggestion is probably about as unpopular as getting a StPete, but you sould consider trying the Chinese made Jin-Bao CC's sold by the Las Vegas or Houston guy on E***. Look at it like this - Yes, these things are not Hirsbunners but based on some of this company's recent copying efforts for one certain US tuba distributor, the QC of the Chinese is on a marked rise. And there not HORRIBLE by any stretch. Im actually contemplating getting one of the BBb as a studio horn for my students. So get shell out the 900-1200 to get one and you want to sell it - take the $300-400 and get you something better in the future. Sure monetarily you lose a high percentage of the origial price you paid, but then again there have been several horns on this board for sell taking $1000-$1500 losses for instruments that are not but a year to year and a half old.

Flame away but something to think about
