The discussion about the tube part to BLUE SHADES got me thinking. Be warned that this post is not really about tubas.

What would a publisher's position be in this situation? At a performance on of the members has left a part at home. I'd always assumed that an emergency copy could be made and then destroyed after the performance. But, I'm not sure now. Also, here is something for us to debate. Is it fair for publishers to expect bands to buy multiple copies of pieces of music if the instrumentation set they provide isn't enough (I.E. they provide four tuba parts, but your band has five)?
