With practice you too can circle breath. More and more brass players are learning to use this technique. I saw Walter Barrett demonstrate this on his digereedoo (sp?), which has NO back pressure at all.

One method some use to practice this is to use a soda straw with a glass of water. Blow bubbles with the straw into the water and try to keep the bubbles going by storing some air in your cheeks. Then push the air out of your cheeks while breathing in (quickly) through your nose. I tried this and almost drowned!!

Rick (who believes breathing is a two step process - in - THEN out, but not both)
