All things being equal, if both horns perform for you, at about the same level, I would say to go with the used horn. The new horn will only be "new" for a while, then it becomes your used horn. Is it worth twice the money for just the feeling of having a new horn (for a while)? How the horn plays for you, is much more important than any cosmetic considerations (warning: my opinion!).
