On the other hand, do you have a set of criteria for selecting an instrument. If you only want a 'horn', then the used one will suffice. If part of the criteria is a "new" horn, then only 'a' new horn will work.
Make a list of what you want in an instrument, put it on paper and proceed to get what you have described. That takes the guesswork out of the picture. It'll also make you a very happy camper.
