I studied with Connie Weldon in the 1970's, she did have a nickel silver Alexander. It was a BB flat Kaiser and (if I remember correctly) she played it around the time that she was a member of the Concertgebow Orchestra (as well as in that orchestra). I was able to try this tuba (after Connie had sold it), it was one of the best tubas I have ever tried. I do not know what has happened to this tuba since the 70's.
