Now why would something poisonous be poured into open wounds and used as a mouthwash and even be an ingredient of toothpaste? True, drinking a quantity of the stuff will cause problems with sudden release of gas and the oxygen can be a strong irritant. There's usually a bit of acetanilide included as a stabilizer, but it's only a trace. Accidentally swallowing a bit of peroxide is no reason to call poison control--but I certainly wouldn't drink a glass of it with lunch!
