The Nirschl 4/4 designs were not-loosely-developed using old York (Yorkmaster) starting points. Some speculate that the Nirschl factory (formerly B&M) has much of the old GRand Rapids (York 4/4) tooling. I personally don't think that is likely.
The Besson horns were supposed to be mass-produced versions of Nirschl's "design"
which is more like the old 4/4 Yorks than different.
