I love playing some of the CB arrangements. We probably have 20 of them in our book. They sound great and they are not real hard. They are "mindless" pieces. We use them often in the summer when we play concerts in the parks type gigs, lighter fare, outdoor "Musikfest" like gigs. But I just feel when you are on a major concert/recital series, the programming could be a bit more "artistic". I am not saying you can't do any lighter stuff. I would not want to play an entire concert of heavy stuff, not listen to ne. I am not saying you can't tell some jokes and have fun while you are performing, but there should be some effort made to further the artform or promote the artistic aspect of brass music. ken k
