It occurs to me that "Journeys" the tuba concerto premiered by Gene Porkorny with the Chicago Symphony a couple of years ago, and very favorably received by the listening public as well as professionals, was composed by a state government employee, I believe a John Stephens??? University of Wisconsin, Madison??
