Have you worked a summer camp before? There's A LOT to it- organizing it is a full time job in itself, and that's before you even get to think of anything musical. I'm a clinician at what is the least expensive youth music camp in the country, and you wouldn't believe what our summer budget is like. You'll also have to brush up on your grant-writing skills- don't expect the kids' tuition to cover it all! All in all, I'd say you're best to get a few years experience working at camps before going out on your own.
