Actually, I think the listers here have done a good service to you by making you aware of the not so obvious things you need to consider when staging a camp. DO you have the insurance end worked out? Are you covered in case something happens from lawsuits? No one is questioning that you have a good motives and that your idea is a good one - however, a good intention can lead to horrible consequences (as I can attest to personally having very nearly been run out of my CHURCH for trying to run a children's choir) and you have to first and foremost look out for number one.
Don't give up - just make sure ALL of the i's are dotted and all the t's are crossed before you commit to anything.
As far as music, I second the idea to check out the TUBA Press.
