What is perfect? Miles Davis didn't have an orchestral sound, but many would say that his sound was perfect for the music he was playing.
An orchestral sound in a jazz setting might be a bit like hearing scat sung in an operatic style. Operatic singing of jazz would be imperfect, it seems to me.
