How much main slide pull do you need to change pitch say, 10 cents?
I looked at Mr Hovey's very good site and h says on a Bb tuba 1 cent would need 0.0636" pull. Using advanced Math I worked out that a 10 cent shift would need 0.636".
Question is, are these figures for a single length of tube or for a doubled-over tuba slide? Might I have to pull only half thae quted amounts??
