Its a little inaccurate to make this comment with this phrasing. Performance jobs dont "wait" for anyone. In fact, NO job just "waits" from someone, unless that someone knows a person in power... That does happen, but not for music performers, I'd guess.
Like any good job, a person has to work, and go out and GET IT. No one can do it for them.
UNT has great numbers lately, and because of those numbers you can assume that good things are going on there. 26 is a lot of euphs, so no, they cant ALL get a perfoming gig when they are finished at UNT--there arent that many jobs!! BUT, seeing as so many of UNTers are getting gigs, it seems a great choice for the player that is really aspiring to earn a living performing.
