I was recently in the market for CC's and tried a new 188. It was by far the most ergonomically easy horn to hold and play. It sat perfectly in my lap. If felt like it was built for me (5'10", pretty hefty build). It played as easy as any horn I have ever played. I did not buy it because it just didn't have the tone I was looking for. That's not a good thing or a bad thing. It's just a matter of personal preference. Ironically, I ended up with a BBb VMI/Schmidt 3302S. It had everything I was looking for: good pitch, great heavy tone when needed, slurs as smooth as a baby's butt, easy to get around on, GREAT PRICE! Good luck on your search.
