My opinion about new vs. used is; if you have the money, select only on the quality of the instrument (this includes how it responds for you, sound, intonation, soundness of the valves, condition of the tuba, etc.). The G50 is a popular tuba, so it will most likely command a high price even when used. Also, my opinion about David Fedderly is that he is very knowlegable and an honest businessman (as well as an excellent musician).
