How about a theme that parallels grand achievement in both music and athletics. Excellence in each is captured with a reasonable dose of talent, combined with discipline, commitment, focus, and passion for the activity. Individual sports such as track and field, or skiing, can be compared to solo performance, where team sports are compared to music ensembles. Great coaches like Knute Rockne and Vince Lombardi inspired their players and surely some conductor somewhere has done the same (I'm a little more comfortable talking football.) Then move from these vague generalities into the more challenging areas of how instruments (or voices) become intuitive extensions of the artists, just as those intuitively great moves by Shannon Sharpe get him through every other team's defensive line.
Just a thought.
