I know this subject has come up often but I need more info from you experienced tuba buyers. There is a used tuba at Baltimore Brass that I want. I don't have the money right now but am trying to get a loan. I'm a college student, and I tried asking the financial aid office to give a little more money for the cost of a tuba and they said"NO WAY!". Then I went to the bank and they say that I would have to get an unsecured loan because "tubas don't have numbers on them" whatever that means. And I would be screwed with high interest. Don't instruments have a good resale rate? Is there anything I can do??????
