Hello All,
I just have a few general questions for those who know. I have been playing a Mirafone 186 since 1987 and recently tried out a MW 2145. I am 5'6" and I had problems with the piston set up. My fingers were too short to get comfortable on the oversized valve caps. Is this a common problem for others? I also found that the horn seemed top heavy and tends to want to fall forward and to the left of your lap when held. I was not very impressed with the volume capacity for a horn that was so similar in size to my Mirafone either. Does anyone else find this to be true? I also did not care for how the pipes were so spaced out over the horn and allthough the slides were accesable I could not use them for fear of dropping the horn. Is this a problem for others? Is the 2155 similar in respect to the 2145? I was not moved to favor the sound on the MW over the Mirafone either. Has this been the case for others? Would a Conn 56J be worth a try?
Thank you for your comments
