Agreed. One of the major airlines trashed my tuba a couple of years ago... their stated liability was $250(and they even specifically said that they weren't liable for any musical instruments), but after the threat of legal action they cut me a cheque for $2,500, plus a $1,000 voucher for air travel. Just be persistent. Get on the phone NOW! Don't give up until either 1) your horn is found and in it's original condition, or 2)they've more than made up for their negligence.
