Another neat one to do that my teacher had me do was start on Bb (or C, whatever is the open pitch) and go up the scale in Bb and down in B, then up in C and down in Db, etc. Once you get to the top do it all again in reverse. It's good to test how firmly you know your scales up AND down. It could also be applied to minor scales if need be (but don't tell that to Professor Dr. Moore!!).
