I owe several people on the board an apology. For those who read the post about the 187, I simply meant that the horn was wonderful and I couldn't put it down. Brasswind is still a great place to buy tubas, and I wasn't trying to hurt them or their tuba salesman's reputations through that post. Also, I did not mean to harm the reputation of the OU tuba professor with my post about lessons. You both have my apologies.
Moving on, does anyone know what might cause a valve clank on a rotary horn, especially if the valves were just oiled? Also, where can I get a good set of valve bumpers? The ones that came with my horn are beginning to wear out.
I'm just posting this to clear up any misunderstandings that resulted from the earlier posts.
