These numbers are MINIMUM salaries for these orchestras...basically what a new section string player can expect to earn. Individual salaries are negotiable, and most tuba players would have negotiated some sort of (sometimes significant) overscale.
Personally, I'd like to play in the Cleveland Orchestra!
