'Tis true. Michael Moore joined the Atlanta Symphony in 1968 and at the age of 18 was the youngest tubist in any major symphony. Thirty-five years and still playing superbly!

As an aside, would his resume at the time get him an invite to audition in today's climate? (I do know that there were likely special circumstances than contributed to Michael being allowed to audition with the ASO, but if so they are not relevant to my question.)
