Sounds like the more common YM 4-valve 0.750" model. Supplied with either upright or recording bell. These seem to occur in two different 4th valve wraps. One has the 4th valve branch more-or-less sticking out the back of the horn, the other has the 4th valve pretting much contained inside the large branches.

These are not very much like the Grand Rapids Yorks; taper of the bottom bow and bell are quite different. The upright bell models seem to have more high-register intonation issues than the recording bell models. Some are equipped with small-shank receivers, some with large-shank.

The valves on these instruments are vary good.

GR Yorks tend to have a more dramatic flare to the bell and tend to be "warmer" in terms of sound. The YM's have a darker sound.

It's my guess on the big BBb models that the basic design of the bottom bow and bell are derived from the large bore rotary model. BTW, this is the same body (large branches and valves as the big Marzans.
